Hello,
after my nice and relaxing holidays in the US it's time to work out the pictures. Here is a small selection, more to come on my website once I worked out through the 5000+ shots:
First stop: Philadelphia Int'l Airport, nice spotting location in an old Fort, but trafic is full of US Airways:
Again in PHL: Republic Airways, of course operating for US Airways!
Next stop: Washington DC Int'l Airport. Spotting from afternoon possible from parking of the US Air and Space Museum. More Int'l trafic than PHL, but full of United Airlines! Although first catch was a A380!
Avianca A320, one of so many seen during the trip..... They apparently fly everywhere.....
As said, one of the many, but still quite a lot in old colors.....
Next stop: Ls Vegas Int'l Airport. Spotting at it's best, possible all day. Heavy traffic all day, but mostly US companies. Jet Blue with plenty of different liveries....
My favorite airline: Frontier with so nice painted tails
And the old are still flying, MD's are very common un the US
Time to pay a small visit to the military! Short drive to Nellis AFB and a search for a decent spot takes some time. Result: Some nice shots, heavy trafic but hard conditions for spotters due to lighting, distances and locations of two runways....
Anyhow, nice catch of americas newest....
On the way to southern Florida a small factory visit in the SeaRey in Tavares resultes in a private demonstration. Not sure if I or the pilot hand more fun
Miami, what a place to be
Southern runway with plenty of Cargo: Beautyfull MD-11 to start with.
Aeromexico is using the southern runway, as the are coming from the southern directions.
ABX Air, approaching MIA's southern runway, not from BSL yet
Sunset shoot of our transport home out of MIA.
What great holidays. Three weeks with spotting and plenty of other things included. Will be back , for sure.....
More pictures to see on my website in a few days.....
Greetings
Daniel
